The $3,298 is the cabin, not the person: $1,651 each. The itinerary is Reykjavík, Seyðisfjörður, Akureyri, Ísafjörður and back, with two sea days. Prices, flights, hotels and shuttles below were pulled on 30 Aug 2026 and every card links to the page you would book on.
Reykjavík sits at 64°N. In the first half of August the sun never drops far enough below the horizon for the sky to go dark. Aurora needs nautical darkness, a decent geomagnetic storm, and clear sky. The first realistic window is roughly 20 to 25 August. The season proper starts mid September.
So: the Aug 7 sailing is a beautiful Iceland cruise with no lights. The Aug 21 and Aug 26 departures are the August bets. September and October sailings, especially ones that reach Tromsø or Svalbard, are the sure thing.
